Our Approach

Aspen City of Wellbeing utilizes 5 modalities, Movement, Breathwork, Meditation/Mindfulness, Remedy and Nutrition to create an evidence-based approach with measurable baseline and results through surveys conducted in a timely and unbiased manner.

 

MOVEMENT

Sitting for too long and poor posture are major contributors to todays health problems. ACW movement programs aim at improving chronic neck and low back pain, high stress and low energy the leading ailments of todays workforce.  Movement programs in the workplace has been shown to increase connection between employees, lower healthcare costs, reduce sick days and workers compensation as well as increase productivity.

 

BREATHWORK

ACW's Breathwork programs target the body's parasympathetic nervous system. By actively controlling the breath the participants slow down their heart rate and have the ability to reduce anxiety and stress. Controlled breathing has been shown to increase alertness, concentration, boost immune system, and improve mood. 

 

MEDITATION/MINDFULNESS

With technology continually on the rise, distraction in the workplace is at an all time high. ACW's meditation and mindfulness programs aim to create a stronger control of the mind’s function by practicing focusing on one task at a time and are proven to increase productivity, creativity, and engagement. Meditation has also been shown to help manage Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, depression and insomnia. 


REMEDY

Aspen City of Wellbeing also offers a wide array of onsite Remedies including soft tissue body work, reiki, acupuncture and acupressure. These remedies have shown to alleviate low back pain, increase range of motion, enhance immunity and decrease medication dependence. 

 

NUTRITION

Aspen City of Wellbeing's onsite Nutrition program influences employees long-term health and wellness. Employees who eat well feel better, have increased energy and are more productive. A focus on Nutrition has shown to decrease the likelihood of obesity, heart disease, strokes, diabetes, and some types of cancer.
